Hi my gorgeous Mum,
How are you?
Sorry for the late happy new year, happy new year ππΎπ₯.
We did go to the beach to wish you a happy new year x
Yes it was very wet and cold π.
For me I move into another year further away from you.
Another year without you here.
Another year where I still feel like I am just muddling through.
It’s not been the easiest start to 2017, work is quite tough at the moment.
I have had the loveliest time with my girls though and of course we have had 2 more birthdays with Mike and Chloe’s last Friday.
I can’t believe she’s 9 Mum x
It was 1960s day for her class so she got to go to school in fancy dress for her birthday.
You would be so proud of her, she is the most beautiful, caring, determined, funny and stubborn (of course!), young lady. She still tries her hardest at everything she does.
As you know they only started swimming lessons and year last September and Chloe is already level 4. She reminds me of you when she swims Mum, she just glides along the top of the water so gracefully. Just amazing x
Mike had a great birthday too. I got him a wallet with drawings from our girls engraved on the front, he absolutely loves it and has shown it to everyone.
I had an impromptu visit to the Wye Downs with my girls last Saturday. We thought we would come and say hi to you.
It was beautiful Mum, the sun was out and it was still covered in snow.
We had great fun having a snowball fight, jumping into the snow drifts and making mini snowmen. The view was just breathtaking as well.
I promise you life hasn’t stopped without you here as I know you would want but there isn’t a day that goes by where my heart doesn’t hurt at the thought of you.
I am told that fades as time passes and part of me wants it to stop hurting as much as it does, but never all together, as that’s where you live on and my reminder of how beautiful and amazing my Mum was and why it’s ok for me to miss you as much as I do.
Sleep well Mum
Love
Me xxx
