Letters to my Mum

Just not stopped

Hi Mummy Darling,

We have just not stopped so here’s a whistle stop tour since I last wrote to you.

Madison has been an absolute superstar with her operation and has just finished her 4th week so she’ll be back doing PE, swimming and Jiu Jitsu next week.

I had my lovely spa break that my sister’s bought me for my 40th. We just relaxed, had our treatments and ate a lot πŸ˜„. It was so lovey spending the time together that we have decided to make it an annual event but we’re going to Centreparcs spa next time.

I took our girls for a Costa the other day as they have all been so good. Apart from Madison going through an ‘I’m going to have an answer to everything’ phase and Chloe going through a bit of an emotional time at the mo. They enjoyed their Costa though.

I managed to get up in the loft for a bit (there’s just so much up there!!). We bought new tubs and I was sorting out clothes but Madison and Abigail had different ideas for the tubs!

We took Chloe to Argos with her birthday vouchers and money that she had saved and bought herself the Lego Millenium Falcon (from Star Wars Mum before you ask πŸ˜‚). She has been working hard putting it together.

We had Isabella Boo to stay the other Friday. She’s growing into a gorgeous girl Mum.

As Chloe had her party on the Sunday, Madison and Abigail had a friend each round to play. It was lovely as I got to catch up with Jessica’s Mum. We had the face mats out and laughed a lot.

On the Sunday was Chloe’s party (Valentine’s Day). We took her and 10 friends to Gravity in Maidstone. It’s a trampoline park with trampolines from the floor to the ceiling. They had a great time. I can’t believe Chloe’s 8 Mum!

It was Imogen’s 3rd birthday the other day. I can’t believe she’s 3. Beth and Si have taken her to Disneyland Paris to celebrate.

In other news, Mike has been officially offered his job. Yep, he’s a manager Mum. I know you would be so proud of him.

I miss you all the time and feel bad that I sometimes neglect to remember that he does too. He said the other day how sad he is that he won’t get one of your supportive and loving text messages. I so wish you could send him one. πŸ’”

My training for the London marathon is going well. I’m doing 3 runs in the week and then a long run on Sunday. I did 10 miles yesterday which totals 26 miles for the week. I’m pleased with that.

I’m a bit worried that the last couple of the 10 miles were hard and that I still need to add on another 16 but I kept going Mum and i’ve still got 9 weeks of training.

I saw a lovely poem that made me think of you. It’s that Mother’s Day time of year again. It’s a bit easier this year but still hard.

My 3 girls are growing up to be gorgeous happy young ladies. I so wish you were still here to enjoy them Mum. I know they would love you to bits.

I love and miss you loads Mum.

All my love
